Foundry & VTT Export

Your Map, Walls and Lights — In Any VTT

Build your map once, play it anywhere. TT-RPG exports your battle map as a Universal VTT (.uvtt) file with walls, doors, and light sources baked in — ready for dynamic lighting in Foundry VTT, Arkenforge, Fantasy Grounds, and any other UVTT-compatible tool.

One File, Every VTT

The Universal VTT format (.uvtt) is understood by Foundry VTT, Arkenforge, Fantasy Grounds, and more. Map image, grid, walls, doors, and lights travel together in a single file.

Walls & Doors Included

Every wall, door, and window you placed in TT-RPG becomes real line-of-sight data in your VTT. Secret doors export as plain walls by default, so your players can't spot them.

Light Sources

Place torches, campfires, or arcane glows right on your map — pick a color and range per light. They render live for you and your players, and export as real dynamic lights.

From Map to VTT in Four Steps

1

Place walls and lights in Play mode

Open the Lights layer in the play-mode toolbar (right below Walls) and click to drop a light — it snaps to the cell center. Set its range in grid cells and pick one of six colors. Drag to move it, press Delete to remove it.

Open Download in the map menu

In the map editor, choose Download from the menu on the right — it works in both Design and Play mode.

3

Pick the Foundry / VTT export

The download dialog has a dedicated “Export for Foundry / VTT (.uvtt)” section. Make sure your grid is configured — the export aligns everything to it — and hit Export.

Check the preview and export

A preview shows exactly what gets exported: walls in orange, doors in green, lights in yellow, plus any warnings. Decide whether secret doors stay hidden, then download the .uvtt file and import it into your VTT.
