DISTRICTS & KEY LANDMARKS: - Lagoon Gateway: Twin grand bronze minarets flanking the narrow water entrance to the lagoon. - Floating District ("Atoll of a Thousand Sails"): The inner lagoon is filled with thousands of interconnected dhows, junks, and sampans forming floating wooden streets, docks, and bustling markets. - High City ("District of Roses and Minarets"): Located on the right crescent arm, dense Persian and Middle Eastern architecture featuring copper-domed palaces, lush hanging gardens, and spires ("Palace of the Viziers"). - Sacred District ("Forest of Sacred Canoes"): Located on the left crescent arm, giant aquatic baobab trees with roots submerged in water, African carved wooden stilt structures, and stone mask monuments ("Temple of Olokun"). - The Arena ("Pit of Defiers"): At the outer tip of the crescent, a large circular amphitheater carved directly into the coral reef with floating wooden platforms.
