TT-RPG's AI-powered handout generation transforms your campaign prep, allowing you to instantly create immersive props like ancient letters, wanted posters, item cards, or evocative scene illustrations. No more searching for the perfect image – just describe it, and let the AI bring it to life.

Creating Handouts

You have two powerful ways to generate handouts:

1. From a Text Prompt:

   • Navigate to the Handout Creation page (/handouts/new).
   • Provide a Name for your handout.
   • Choose a Type: Document (for letters, scrolls), Scene (for environmental illustrations), or Item (for artifacts, treasures).
   • Write a detailed Description of what you envision. Our AI will even provide real-time quality scores and improvement suggestions to help you get the best results!
   • Optionally, select a Game Setting and Art Style to guide the AI's aesthetic.
   • You can also use the Sample Templates sidebar for quick inspiration.
   • Click "Generate Handout," and in moments, your custom prop is ready!

2. From a Map Area:

   • While in the Map Editor, you can select a specific region on your battle map.
   • Prompt the AI to generate a handout from that exact viewpoint. This is perfect for creating close-up views of a specific object, a detailed section of a room, or an item card found in a particular spot.

Every handout you generate is automatically saved and versioned, allowing you to experiment freely and revert to previous iterations at any time. Once generated, handouts can be easily linked and organized within your campaigns using the Campaign Manager.

Using Handouts in Your Session

Handouts are designed to enhance player immersion during live sessions:

• Instant Sharing: During a live session, simply select the handout you wish to reveal from your library. It will instantly appear on all connected player screens, providing a tangible in-game item or a dramatic scene reveal.
• Interactive Elements: You can even embed Search Points within handouts, allowing players to discover hidden details using the Live Search mode on their phones.
• Atmospheric Music: Attach AI-generated background music directly to your handouts to set the perfect mood when they are revealed.
