How do I choose which TTRPG system the Rules Chatbot uses for its answers?

The Rules Chatbot is designed to be flexible and cater to your preferred game system. Within the Campaign Helper's Rulebook Mode, you'll find a single-select picker that allows you to choose your preferred TTRPG system. This setting is saved as your User.preferredRulebookSystem and will be the default system the chatbot queries.

If you leave this preference null, the chatbot will query all available ingested systems, providing answers that might draw from multiple SRDs if relevant. However, for focused rules discussions, selecting your primary game system ensures the chatbot prioritizes information from that specific rulebook, making its responses even more precise.

This flexibility is crucial for GMs who run campaigns across different systems or want to quickly reference rules for a specific game. The chatbot will always cite which rulebook each claim came from, regardless of your preference, so you can always verify the source of the information.
